Week 8: Thing 18

I wasn't very impressed with this site. Many of the slide shows contained typographical errors, and I question some of the facts presented. I'd be hesitant to use in my class but I found this cute lesson:

I checked out de.licio.us. I think it could be useful for teachers and older students to use for research. I would not recommend it for my kindergartners to use.

Set up a Twitter account. Have 11 people so far that I am stalking, I mean following! I'm curious to use the TweetDeck to search for others.

Week 5: Thing 13

Well... checked out Google Docs. I practiced creating a document and sharing it. This would be handy for our grade level to use to work on Open House info that we all share.

Learned about Fair Use/Best Practices. Watched the cute video, which made it somewhat clearer. I'm still a little unsure of when I would need to get permission to borrow something for my post. It seems like common sense should prevail as long as you give credit where due.
